Mission and Outreach Ministries

Recognizing that we live in a world that is broken and hurting, we reach out to our community and our world in many ways. The Mission and Outreach Committee meet on the first Monday of each month to support the outreach programs below.

  • Our Place  Meals are prepared in our church kitchen each month for Our Place, an outreach program providing meals, counselling and other services for the less fortunate in Victoria's inner city community. Contributions of fresh fruit are also made to Our Place each January and October and a number of our members act as volunteers in this outreach. Click here to find out more.

  • Laurel House Think Small  Contributions of small toiletries and similar items are contributed to support participants in the Laurel House Mental Health Drop-in Day Centre.

  • Options Daycare  The congregation provides financial aid for a breakfast to support young children and their single mothers attending the special program in a school next door to our church.

  • Transition House  Knox collects non-perishable items to support Victoria Women's Transition House that provides quality shelter, counselling and education for women so that they can live free from the effects of domestic abuse. Click here to find out more.

  • Malawi Seed Project Packets of seeds are contributed to support an agricultural teaching farm in Malawi.

  • English as a Second Language Group  Sessions are offered periodically throughout the year for those learning English as a second language.  Those wanting to improve their English to work on vocabulary and conversation fluency are welcome.  Check the home page for details of current or proposed sessions.

  • Korean Church Liaison
