In April,
2005, a decision was made to start renovating the nursery.
Our aim was to have it completed for dedication on Mother's Day,
Sunday, May 8th, 2005. Work began and the list of things to do
seemed to escalate. The needless partition was removed; the
walls cleaned and painted; what an improvement! But, what should
we do with the existing carpet! Everyone agreed that a laminate
floor would be more
practical. Therefore, the carpet was removed
and a laminate floor was laid. A window which opens for purposes
of ventilation and seeing into the nursery was installed. New
cabinets and countertop were assembled and secured in position.
The nursery was dedicated on May 8. The nursery is now
larger, ventilation is better, safer for little ones,
we have more storage space, and it is attractive. Thank you
to all who contributed in any way to make this project a
success.
