Wednesdays 7:30 - 9:00

The
June 2011 issue of The RECORD published an article by Dr. Patricia
Dutcher-Walls entitled Understanding God and Humanity: A
thousand years of pondering life's big questions in Jewish scripture.
There is a study guide to accompany this piece that I will use to lead
an exploration of various voices of faith found in the Old Testament.
If you can't locate your copy of this issue of our church magazine use
the link below to find the article:
Understanding
God and Humanity
This adult education opportunity is happening at Knox beginning in
the second week of January on Mondays at 10:30am and on Wednesdays
at 7:30pm. There are five sessions in all and nothing to purchase
- just be sure to read the magazine piece before the first session.
Please call or email the church to register so that I know how many

FEASTING ON THE WORD
Sundays 9:00 - 10:00 January 8, 15,
22, 29 and February 5
We
will use the Feasting on the Word curriculum to
experience biblical stories in new and creative ways - to challenge
ourselves to put our faith into action - to grow in self-understanding
- to prepare ourselves for the worship and service of God. Because we
will discuss the same texts used in our Sunday service, education and
worship can be mutually supportive in helping God's word come alive.
Nothing to purchase - bring a Bible, a notebook, and a open mind.
Contact Laura if you have any questions.
If Sunday at 9:00am is early for you, perhaps you would consider
hosting or participating in a mid-week afternoon or evening discussion
group. I am available to facilitate these small groups - please
contact the church or Laura if you are interested.
