Hearing assistance
Don't miss a word!
In addition to an excellent public address system, Knox is equipped with a state-of-the-art hearing
assistance system. Individual FM receivers can be equipped with one of two different styles
of headphones or a T-loop induction device for those with a T (telephone)
setting on their hearing aid. Ask an usher for help with these.
Printed materials
Printed copies of sermons and bulletins are available for those with vision
difficulties or for those learning English as a second language (ESL).
Large print versions are also available. Large print hymn books are
available at the back of the sanctuary.
Accessibility
Can't
handle steps?
Knox has easy access to almost all parts of the building for those with
limited mobility. The main areas of the building are on
one level. There are four large handicap
spaces in the parking lot next to the building and the sanctuary has
several spaces reserved for those in wheelchairs. The one step up to the
building is easily negotiated by a ramp. The main floor has a
wheelchair accessible bathroom with grab handles. The sanctuary lectern (for reading
announcements and scripture during a service) has been placed on the main floor
of the sanctuary so no stairs are involved.
Knox is on a
major bus route with stops a half-block away.
